Eight major projects enable Children’s Hospital and Regional Medical Center to meet the needs of the future. The medical center is designed to achieve the highest level of family-focused care. The facility host private patient rooms, family areas, healing gardens and user-friendly way finding. 100 new beds are added converting multi-patient wards into private rooms. All of the client’s ambulatory care clinics are centralized into one “clinic of the future”.

The program includes on major surgery emergency department addition. There is a new guest arrival court with landscape gardens and pedestrian connection to rooftop gardens. A new 620-car parking structure is built on the site’s east side adjacent to the clinics. Additionally, seismic upgrades occur in many of the center’s original buildings.
