Located on a wooded creek lot in Highland Park, Texas, the client desired a 6,000 square foot tree house. Central to the concept was to preserve and enhance the wooded character of the lot. A large "floating" terrace in the back yard served as an entertaining and gathering space. Naturalized planting throughout the site further removed the house from the street. Significant grade changes were dealt with by broken face stone walls and slab stone steps.
